Dosing Belt Scales

Application Area

SCDOS Dosing Belt Scale is a system developed to carry out a precise weighing and controlled feeding operation. Particularly in continuous processes, it has been effectively used for feeding solid materials in powdered or granulated form in controlled manner and for dosing various materials.

These systems have been widely used in cement, iron-steel, gypsum and chemical industry, in various branches of soil and mining industry, and in many other plants using solid materials, e.g. grinding mills, thermal power plants. Some examples for application areas are listed below:

- Feeding of coarse grained, granular materials (clinker, gypsum, coal etc.)

- Feeding of materials in powder or dust form (fly ash, filter cakes, grinded materials etc.). A pre-feeder equipment appropriate for each material should be used.

- Feeding of low-fluid materials (clay, marn, limestone, trass, gypsum etc.)

- Feeding units of cement mills.

- Feeding units of raw material mills.

- Feeding units of raw mills

- Crushing and screening units in quarries for product sorting and calibrating, and feeding units

- Feeding units of coal mills

- Feeding units in mining industry

- Feeding units of petroleum coke plants

- Briquette coal plants

- Mixing systems where raw materials with different characteristics are fed in various amounts.

- Chemical and food industry with special design

Standard Equipment

Standard SCDOS dosing belt scales consist of main parts shown below:

- Mechanical main frame:

For the main frame, a rigid structure which is durable under heavy duty conditions has been preferred. Screw connections are employed instead of welded connections, where mounting and demounting operations are required.

- Feeding silo:

For feeding silo, standard structure and dimensions are adopted.

- Roll sets:

Standard carrying rolls, weighing rolls and curve rolls are designed and supported with high precision and dustproof.

- Belt and Belt index:

Belts, which can withstand an operating temperature up to 200ºC, can be used. Belts are automatically monitored with belt index.

- Belt slip:

It consists of return roll, which mechanically prevents the belt from slipping, and belt slip switches, which will stop the scale in case of any belt slip.

- Weighing platform:

It consists of 2 load cells and 3 roll sets.

- Drive unit:

Drive unit, which consists of AC motor, coupled reducer and cooling fan, is directly connected to the driving drum.

- Electronic control unit:

Electronic control unit is specifically designed for  SCDOS to make the calibration and adjustments easier, to conveniently reach the operation and fault information. In standard application, a local control panel is used. However, all provisions for a remote control operation upon request are available.
